The team principal of M-Sport Ford, Richard Millener, is being confident for the perfomance of Ford Fiesta WRC at Rally Estonia after the changes they have done in the suspension area of the car.
The British team was in Estonia for three days and both Gus Greensmith and Teemu Sunined tested their car on the fast gravel roads of Estonia.
M-Sport's mechanics did some changes to the suspension on the pre-Estonia test in cooperation with the team's suspension supplier, Reiger, to improve the stability of the car after the jumps.
We have to remind you that M-Sport Ford introduced a new engine at Rally Croatia and since then their drivers are running with this to their cars, with the upgraded engine is being used as a base for the hybrid cars of 2022.
“We made good progress,” Millener told to DirtFish.
“We were working with Reiger on the suspension side, we wanted to find more stability at high speed and work on the way the car was flying over the jumps.
"We noticed the front was lifting a little bit last year.
"We’ve done both of those things working with the damper in conjunction with the chassis.
“Obviously we’re there with the new engine, which is working very well and making a difference with the speed.
"It’s all positive and we want to build on what we achieved from Safari.”
