Katsuta keeps Williams as his co-driver for Acropolis Rally Greece

Takamoto Katsuta will compete in next month's Acropolis Rally Greece with Keaton Williams alongside him as Daniel Barritt is still recovering.

The Japanese driver was forced to have new co-driver at Ypres Rally Belgium after his co-driver, Barritt, suffered from a back injury at Rally Estonia.

In Estonia, the pair was forced to retire at the end of Stage 5 as Barritt felt pain in his back after a landing with the last one tranferred to the local hospital for examination.

The doctors recommended to Barritt to take a break from the co-driving seat and to recover from his back injury, but it was tipped that he would return at Acropolis Rally Greece.

Apparently, he eill sit out from Acropolis Rally Greece as his recovery continues and he does not feel ready yet to return in rallying.

Keaton Williams was chosen to compete alongside Katsuta in Belgium and it was his first race in the main category of WRC as he was competing in WRC3 with Josh McErlean.

At Ypres Rally Belgium, Katsuta and Williams were in seventh position overall after Stage 9, but they were forced to retire from the rest of the rally as they had a massive crash in Stage 10 and their Yaris was heavily damaged.
