At the end of first loop of Ypres Rally Belgium, Thierry Neuville is in the top of the overall classification with Craig Breen and Ott Tanak following.
Thierry Neuville is leading his home event and he stole the lead from Craig Breen after Stage 4.
Craig Breen dropped to second position of Ypres Rally Belgium setting the fastest time in SS2 and SS3. The gap between Neuville and Breen was 1,8 seconds after Stage 3 in favor of the last one, but the Irish driver lost two seconds in Stage 4 in comparison with Neuville, thus he lost his lead and he is currently two tenths of a second far from the first place.
Ott Tanak completes the top three setting the fastest time in Stage 1 but he lost the lead of Ypres Rally Belgium at the end of Stage 2 when he missed a juction and as a result of that he lost time. However, he lost time as well as in Stage 3, where he questioned his co-driver, Martin Jarveoja, what they are doing reffering to their gravel crew.
Elfyn Evans comes right behind and his margin from the Hyundai driver is eight tenths of a second.
Kalle Rovanpera completes the top five and he stayed out of troubles in this loop.
Sebastien Ogier is only sixth and he was not able to match his pace to his rivals' pace despite the fact that he was running first in the road. Moreover, he suffered from a front left puncture in the last kilometers of Stage 3 losing 10,7 seconds.
Takamoto Katsuta is in seventh position and he was too careful in the stages making progress step by step as he said to Seb Marshall at the end of Stage 1.
Pierre-Louis Loubet is eighth and he had a moment in Stage 2 when he went straight in a left corner and he went off the road. However, he managed to return back in the road and unfortunately he lost almost 35 seconds.
Gus Greensmith was in eighth position after Stage 3, but he was forced to retire in Stage 4 as he went off the road and his Fiesta was stuck in a ditch.
Adrien Fourmaux was seventh at the end of Stage 2, but he had a crash in the next one stage and as a result of that his car rolled and it was stuck in a ditch. He was forced to retire from the rest of the day. The crash happened when je was approaching a left corner and he lost the rear of his Fiesta.
