At the end of the first loop of the third day, Kalle Rovanpera remains in the lead of Acropolis Rally Greece with Ott Tanak and Sebastien Ogier following.
Kalle Rovanpera is still in first position overall being the fastest driver in all morning stages extending his advantage over his rivals. However, he had a high-speed slide in SS9 and the rear left of his Yaris touched a bank, so thankfully his car was not stuck in a ditch.
Ott Tanak stays second, but he lost time in comparison with Ogier in Stage 10 despite the fact that the first one was faster that the last one in the three first stages. Their gap is now at 3,6 seconds.
The French driver completes the top three and he struggled in some stages to find grip with his Yaris.
Dani Sordo is fourth overall and he was slower than Ogier, so the first one dropped more time. The Spaniard reported that he was losing the rear of his i20 in SS9 and it was difficult for him to put his car into the lines.
Adrien Fourmaux completes the top five and he did some mistakes in this loop. Specifically, he went straight in a barried in a slow corner of Stage 8 and after that impact he had a cosmetic damage to the front right corner of his Fiesta. Finaly, due to the fact that his car lacked some aerodynamic after Stage 8, he had a spin in a left corner in SS9. Finaly, he said that he had two hot moments under braking in Stage 10 and he was not happy with his pace notes there.
Gus Greensmith comes right behind his teammate completing the 5-6 of M-Sport Ford. However, the British driver almost had a big crash in Stage 10.
Elfyn Evans climbed into seventh position overall after having been outside the top ten at the end of the second day while his Yaris was stalled in a left-hander.
Thierry Neuville remains outside the top ten and he reported after the end of Stage 10 that he could not be able to find grip. In fact he slided wide in a left hander of Stage 10 and after that his i20 stalled, so he dropped some time.
Pierre-Louis Loubet is outside the top ten and he had a slide in the same spot that Neuville slided.
For the tyre choices, Ogier, Sordo and Evans chose 2 hard and 3 soft compounds, while Louber chose 2 hard and 4 soft compounds. Tanak took with his 1 hard and 4 soft compounds, while his teammate Neuville took with him 3 hard and 3 soft compounds. Moreover, Evans chose 2 hard and 3 soft compounds and Rovanpera took with him 3 hard and 2 soft compounds. Finaly, the M-Sport drivers chose soft compounds with Fourmaux having with him 6 soft while Greensmith chose 5 soft.
