At the end of the third day of Acropolis Rally Greece, Kalle Rovanpera closes in his second win in WRC, with Ott Tanak and Sebastien Ogier following.
Kalle Rovanpera is first overall and he did not push so much in these two stages as he was struggling with his Yaris due to the fact that he was carrying two spares. Also, he said at the end of Stage 12 that he did some changes to his car's set-up to protect his car, but eventually he lost a bit the traction, so he believes that he chose a wrong set-up for the afternoon loop.
Ott Tanak remains in second position despite the fact that he was slower than third Ogier on Stage 11. However, the Estonian driver responded immediately to Ogier's attack and he set the fastest time on Stage 12.
Sebastien Ogier completes the top three setting the fastest time on Stage 11. His gap from the second place of the podium is now 9,4 seconds.
Dani Sordo comes right behind him and his gap is too big to fight for the third position while he is not threatened by the fifth Fourmaux as the gap is over one minute.
Adrien Fourmaux completes top five and he mentioned that he changed the set-up of his Fiesta during the Service Park, so he was happier with the performance of his car in these two stages.
Gus Greensmith remains sixth overall and his gap from his M-Sport teammate is at 15,8 seconds.
Elfyn Evans is in seventh position and he lost the rear of his Yaris in some places on Stage 12 as the grip conditions were polishing.
Thierry Neuville climbed into the top ten after the end of the evening loop and his target is to catch the WRC2 drivers tomorrow and of course the Powerstage points.
Pierre-Louis Loubet is still outside the top ten and he did a mistake in the last stage of the day. Specifically, he ran wide in the same area where he had a slide in the first pass of that stage.
