The organizers of Rally Finland announced the entries of their event which reach 43.
For WRC, Hyundai Motorsport chose Craig Breen to join Thierry Neuville and Ott Tanak in Finland as the Irish driver loves the fast gravel roads of this country. M-Sport Ford will compete with Gus Greensmith and Adrien Fourmaux after Teemu Suninen's departure from the British squad. Finaly, Toyota will participate with the four regular drivers (Sebastien Ogier, Elfyn Evans, Takamoto Katsuta and Kalle Rovnapera) that chose from the beginning of this season while Esapekka Lappi will make his return as a privateer in WRC with a fifth Yaris WRC only for this event.
The participations in WRC2 category are eight. Specifically, Mads Ostberg will take part in this event with a Citroen C3 R5 and in fact he will be the only driver with a Citroen car. Teemu Suninen will compete in his home event with the private team Movisport after his exit from M-Sport Ford and he will be behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 as Nikolay Gryazin and Georg Linnamae will be. Moreover, Oliver Solberg and Jari Huttunen will compete with the brand-new Hyundai i20 N Rally2 and it will be the first time that this car will make its appearance in these fast gravel stages. Last but not least, Martin Prokop will join Tom Kristensson with a Ford Fiesta MKII R5 in M-Sport Ford squad.
