Katsuta feels sorry to Toyota for his crash in Spain

Takamoto Katsuta supports that the crash in Stage 1 of Rally Spain was his fault due to his misunderstanding in pacenotes apologizing to Toyota for this incident.

The Japanese driver ran wide on a right-hander and slided into an armco in Stage 1 damaging the front left suspension of his Yaris.

Despite his damage and the fact that the front left wheel was hanging off, he made it to the end of the stage and he was forced to retire from the first day due to this damage, but he restarted on Saturday under the regulations of Rally2.

"Unfortunately we had a crash and hit the barrier at the end of the stage", Katsuta said.

"I misunderstand something from the pacenotes.

"Aaron did it correct but I just didn’t understand maybe correctly.

"I expected an easier corner but it tightens a lot and at that speed we cannot stop.

"I am very sorry to the team and Aaron because they are preparing very well and we came here to take good result and show speed but unfortunately it ended by my mistake.

"So yeah… to be honest I have nothing to say so much".
