Hyundai Motorsport announced today that Oliver Solberg will make his fourth outing in WRC this season participating in the season finale, in Monza.
The Norwegian driver made his debut in WRC at this year's Arctic Rally Finland having finished seventh overall and he achieved the same result in Spain.
However, he had one retirement at Safari Rally Kenya after damaging the rollcage of his i20 while it was to participate in Sardinia, but he withdriew his participation after his father, Petter, tested positive for COVID-19 in Portugal.
It must be mentioned that Solberg signed a contract with Hyundai for next year and he will share the third car of the team with Dani Sordo while it is yet to confirm if 2C Competition will run with two Hyundai Rally1 cars in Monza.
"I’m excited to reveal we’ll be competing at Monza Rally in the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC", Solberg wrote on social media.
"It’s awesome to get to drive this car on its final event – and on a rally where I have some experience after finishing second in WRC2 and seventh overall last year".
