Sebastien Ogier is talking about his preparations for this year's Rallye Monte Carlo and his aim is to win this event for one more time.
The French driver will compete in a selected number of events in 2022 and he will start his partial campaign with Rallye Monte Carlo.
In comparison with Elfyn Evans and Kalle Rovanpera, Ogier spent less time inside the new hybrid GR Yaris as he participated in the simulation test and in the rookie test of Toyota last November and spent some time inside the WEC car of the Japanese team.
However, he would test the Yaris GR in Alps in November 25th, but his test was forced to be postponed after Evans's crash during his test.
Finally, his first test with Yaris GR was held last December and he completed a three-day test with it in Alsace while it is expected that he will do one more test before the start of Rallye Monte Carlo.
"It’s never optimum coming late to the preparation", Ogier said.
"I have done three days and then I will do one more in January.
"I have won Monte Carlo with much less preparation than this before.
"Nothing is impossible – let’s see what happens.
"I know I’m not doing the full program, but it’s still exciting to be going into the Monte Carlo Rally.
"I’m a competitor and I want to win – I try to always give my best and to be performant in Monte".
