The deputy team principal of Hyundai Motorsport, Julien Moncet, says that his team is not concerned of Oliver Solberg's difficult start this year as they do not want to put him under pressure.
The Swede driver has two DNFs so far this season as he was forced to retire due to medical reasons and due to his accident in Monte Carlo and in Croatia respectively.
In his home event, he finished in sixth position overall while he crashed in Croatia resulting in his i20N catching into fire immediately.
In Portugal, he will drive a Hyundai i20N Rally2 as it is Dani Sordo's turn to drive the third i20N Rally1 of the team.
"We want to keep Oliver away from the pressure", Moncet said.
"We want to give him time to take experience and to learn.
"What happened in Croatia is part of that learning process.
"It’s unfortunate, but it’s part of the job.
"Maybe later in the season, more towards the middle of the year, we start to increase a bit our expectations for Oliver.
"On rallies like Estonia or Finland we will try to increase the pace and the rhythm".
