At the end of the first day of Rally de Portugal, Thierry Neuville set an early pace on the first stage of the event with Ott Tanak and Craig Breen following him.
Thierry Neuville is leading Rally de Portugal after the end of the super special stage on Thurday as he was the fastest driver there.
Ott Tanak completes the 1-2 for Hyundai Motorsport and his gap from his teammate is at six tenths of a second.
Craig Breen is third overall and left behind his teammate, Gus Greensmith, for four tenths of a second.
Sebastien Ogier completes the top five without facing any problem with the intercom as he had in Shakedown.
Kalle Rovanpera is only sixth in the overall classification and will start first on the stages tomorrow.
Takamoto Katsuta comes right behind Rovanpera for only one tenth of a second.
Sebastien Loeb, Elfyn Evans and Adrien Fourmaux complete the top ten.
Pierre-Louis Loubet and Dani Sordo are outside the top ten after SS1.
