At the end of the Shakedown session of Rally Sardinia, Thierry Neuville was the fastest driver in this early gravel test with Esapekka Lappi and Elfyn Evans following him.
Thierry Neuville tops the the Shakedown times at the end of this session and improved his time on his last pass from that stage.
Esapekka Lappi dropped to second position overall after Neuville's third pass and his gap from the first position was only at three tenths of a second.
Elfyn Evans comes right behind his Toyota teammate for only two tenths of a second.
Pierre-Louis Loubet is fourth overall and is the top M-Sport driver in the Shakedown session.
Kalle Rovanpera completes the top five and left Craig Breen behind for two tenths of a second.
Gus Greensmith set the seventh fastest time in Shakedown and was the only WRC driver who ran four times from that stage.
Takamoto Katsuta, Adrien Fourmaux and Dani Sordo complete the top ten.
Ott Tanak is eleventh and ran only once from the Shakedown session. In fact, his time was far away from his rivals' time. , but, after one hour, the Estonian driver did one more run in the Shakedown session and improved his time. Hyundai confirmed that Tanak faced a technical issue after his first pass and there was a small fire on the engine bay.
