Ott Tanak makes clear that he will continue with Hyundai Motorsport after the latest speculations which were referring to his departure from the team.
The Estonian driver joined Hyundai Motorsport in 2020 and extended his contract with the team on May 2021 as his contract was about to expire at the end of 2021.
He and Hyundai renewed their cooperation by signing a multi-year contract which started running from the start of 2022.
However, since Tanak joined Hyundai as a World Driver Champion of 2019, he was not able to become again a WRC Champion while he is struggling to find confidence with car, but the most important is that the team faces reliability issues currently.
"Hyundai is definitely going to continue, there is great support from Korea", Tanak said.
"For sure everybody wanted a lot, but let’s just say it needs some very straightforward changes in the general structure.
"We’re working on it, this year looks difficult but in long term it’s important for the sport as well we come back "to form".
