Elfyn Evans says that he is still feeling a little uncomfotable with the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1, but he admits that his feeling was better in Ypres than before.
Despite the fact that the Welshman finished second overall and was fighting for the victory in Belgium, he managed to win only five from 20 stages and to score four extra points in Powerstage last weekend.
At the end of Ypres Rally Belgium, Evans third overall on the drivers' championship and left Thierry Neuville behind for ten points.
"It wasn’t quite the same feeling from last year’s car", Evans said.
"I have definitely felt more comfortable with the car.
"The confidence wasn’t quite the same, but it was good in Ypres.
"Like I said, the feeling was there and I was comfortable with the car.
"Ypres was a bit frustrating on one hand, but on the other it was a strong weekend for us.
"The car has been good, and it was nice to be in the fight from the beginning of the rally.
"We made some good steps for the final day with the set-up and I feel really comfortable with where we’ve ended up at the end of the rally".
