Rally Finland - 1st Day: Neuville goes fastest in Harju, hybrid issues for Katsuta

At the end of the first stage of Rally Finland, Thierry Neuville takes an early lead with Ott Tanak and Takamoto Katsuta following him.

Thierry Neuville is the early leader of Rally Finland as he set the fastest time at the superspecial stage.

Ott Tanak completes the 1-2 for Hyundai Motorsport and is behind his teammate for 1,2 seconds.

Takamoto Katsuta is third overall despite the fact that he had no hybrid power in SS1.

Kalle Rovanpera comes right behind his teammate for only one tenth of a second.

Jari Huttunen completes the top five on his WRC debut and is being the best M-Sport driver so far.

Despite the fact that Elfyn Evans set an identical time with Huttunen, the last one was faster for some thousandths of a second, therefore the Toyota driver is sixth.

Esapekka Lappi, Pierre-Louis Loubet and Oliver Solberg set an equal time in Stage 1, but the first one and the last one is seventh and ninth overall respectively due to the fact that Lappi was the fastest driver from the other two whereas Solberg was the slowest of them.

Adrien Fourmaux completes the top ten.

Craig Breen is only one tenth of a second far from the tenth place and dropped time in SS1 as he touched a bale on the outside of a right hander.

Gus Greensmith is twelfth overall.
