At the end of the first stage of Acropolis Rally, Thierry Neuville takes an early lead with Teemu Suninen and Dani Sordo following him.
Thierry Neuville is leading Acropolis Rally Greece after Stage 1 as he set the fastest time there.
Teemu Suninen from WRC2 comes right behind the Belgian driver for only one tenth of a second.
Dani Sordo completes the top three and left Ott Tanak behind for 0,1 seconds.
Sebastien Loeb is fifth overall and the crowd applauded him as he had won this stage back in 2005.
Champion leader Kalle Rovanpera is in sixth place and his gap from the M-Sport driver is at two tenths of a second.
Esapekka Lappi and Craig Breen set an identical time in this superspecial stage, but the Toyota driver was faster than the last one for some thousandths of a second, so he is seventh overall.
Pierre-Louis Loubet and Elfyn Evans complete the top ten.
Gus Greensmith and Takamoto Katsuta are outside the top ten.
Nikolay Gryazin faced some gearbox issues with his Skoda Fabia evo Rally2 while his teammate, Andreas Mikkelsen, retired after hitting a wall with the front left of his car resulting in damaging the steering.
