Pierre-Louis Loubet still does not believe that he claimed two stage wins and the lead of Acropolis Rally on Friday and it is something that he will never forget.
The Frenchman stole the lead of Acropolis Rally over his teammate, Sebastien Loeb, at the end of Stage 5 as he set the fastest time in that stage which was his maiden stage win in his WRC career.
In addition to that, he was the fastest driver in Stage 6 as well, but he dropped to second place at the end of Friday as Sebastien Loeb retook the lead with Loubet facing small power steering issues with his Puma.
However, he dropped from third to seventh place overall at the Stage 9 as he dropped more than 2 minutes due to a front left puncture. Taking advantage of his rivals' retirements and problems, eventually he finished fourth overall and this result was his best personnel in WRC.
"What a weekend!", Loubet said.
"I am still processing everything that happened on Friday, and I will be re-living it for some time I think.
"Even though it is a shame about the puncture on Saturday, to get my first WRC stage win and even lead the rally against Seb is something I will never forget.
"I would watch Seb in action when I was a little boy, and to compete on the same team as him was a privilege.
"I want to say a big thank you to all the team for their hard work and support this weekend.
"I can’t wait to get going in Spain next month".
