The deputy team principal of Hyundai Motorsport, Julien Moncet, reveals that the team will consider its drivers for 2023 as Ott Tanak is speculated to drive for M-Sport Ford.
Even though Tanak has a contract with Hyundai Motorsport which will be expired at the end of 2023, there is a possibility for him to exit the Alzenau team and to rejoin M-Sport Ford.
The things between Tanak and Hyundai does not go well as the first one said that Julien Moncet should not be at the team principal role while there were some internal conflicts between him and Thierry Neuville in Belgium which continued in Greece.
During Acropolis Rally, Hyundai should take a decision of whether Tanak or Neuville should win this event, but eventually the Hyundai president decided that his drivers should keep his places which meant that the Estonian should remain second overall despite the fact that he is closer to Kalle Rovanpera than his teammate on the drivers' championship.
"Obviously when our 2023 driver line-up is official, we will announce it in due time", Moncet said.
"We are looking at all the options for next year I cannot tell you much more".
On the other hand, Malcolm Wilson wants to secure a top driver for M-Sport Ford for 2023: "There is no question, for me being in the game this long I have to say my priority is to try and find a top driver.
"We have got no definite plans for next year, so it is a complete open book".
Finally, Ott Tanak answered when he was asked if he will driver for Hyundai next year: "We will see next year".
