Paul Nagle expressed his feelings after the stage end of Powerstage at Rally Spain and referred to what he achieved at the sport saying that he would be nowhere without Craig Breen and Kris Meeke.
The Irishman announced his retirement from WRC earlier this month and wanted to give time to the new co-driver of Craig Breen before heading to the new season, therefore he decided to retire at the penultimate round of this year's championship in Spain.
Nagle has 102 starts in World Rally Championship and was at the top of the podium five times with Kris Meeke while he has 18 podiums. In WRC, he had been the navigator of Donie O'Sullivan, Gareth MacHale, Barry Clark, Kris Meeke, Craig Breen and Andreas Mikkelsen.
"It is a little emotional", Nagle said when he asked about he was feeling.
"It's been an incredible journey.
"I came into this sport as a young lad and I followed the dream.
"I have five wins and I leave as a husband and a father with so many memories.
"This mine beside me has been like a brother to me - he's brought me so much success.
"I also have to mention Kris Meeke - without these men I'd be nowhere, so thank you."
