The president of Guanajuato announced today that Mexico will be at WRC calendar of 2023 despite the fact that FIA has yet to confirm the next year's championship.
More specifically, Rally Mexico will be the third round of World Rally Championship in 2023 and will be held on March 16-19. Before this confirmation, only Rallye Monte Carlo and Rally Sweden had been been announced for the 2023 calendar by their organizers.
The organizers of Rally Mexico confirmed that their rally would return to the 2023 WRC calendar last July, but immediately they deleted the related post which left the fans questioned. However, now it is official by the president of Guanajuato and it is the first time since 2020 that WRC will return to Latin America as COVID-19 made difficult for these countries to host a rally.
