Francois Delecour announced today that he will take part in Rallye Monte Carlo next month as a Toksport driver.
The Frenchman has 106 starts and four victories in World Rally Championship and was driving for Ford, Peugeot, Mitsubishi and Fiat when he was a professional rally driver. Despite the fact that he has never become a WRC Champion, he is considered one of the best WRC drivers. In 2022, he took part in RGT Cup class at Rallye Monte Carlo driving an Alpine A110 Rally RGT car while he participated in many races of the French championship for the rest of the season including Rallye du Var.
Delecour will get behind the wheel of the new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 in Monte Carlo next month and will have Oliver Solberg as his teammate. However, it is yet to be confirmed if Toksport will bring another two Fabias there as the team has yet to announce its driver line-up for 2023.
"It is with great joy that I announce my participation in the next Monte-Carlo 2023 rally behind the wheel of a superb Skoda WRC2 from Toksport WRT alongside the best drivers in the category", Delecour said.
"Sabrina de Castelli will be by my side to try to put on a nice performance and believe me we will do what is necessary!
"With 3 days of complete trial, we will be able to get familiar with the car and enjoy this rally in the best conditions".
