At the end of the Shakedown session of Rallye Monte Carlo, Sebastien Ogier was the fastest driver with Kalle Rovanpera and Thierry Neuville following his pace.
Sebastien Ogier tops the leaderboard at the end of the Shakedown as he set the fastest time (1:44.6) on his third pass from that stage. Vincent Landais will continue navigating him for this year as the first one left Pierre-Louis Loubet and joined the eighth-time World Rally Champion at Rally Japan two months ago.
Kalle Rovanpera is behind his teammate for three tenths of a second and completes the 1-2 for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT.
Thierry Neuville is third overall and was the leading driver after the first pass from the Shakedown session.
Elfyn Evans comes right behind the Belgian driver for only one tenth of a second and his target for 2023 is to fight for the championship and to have a better pace than he had in 2022.
Dani Sordo completes the top five at the Shakedown classification and was chosen by Hyundai to take part in Monte Carlo meaning that Craig Breen will have to wait until Rally Sweden to get behind the wheel of the i20N Rally1.
Pierre-Louis Loubet is in sixth place overall and was the top driver of M-Sport Ford in this session as he left behind his teammate Ott Tanak for only four tenths of a second.
Esapekka Lappi managed to set the eighth fastest time in this early test and Rallye Monte Carlo is his first outing with the Hyundai i20N Rally1 after signing a full-time contract with the Koreans.
Takamoto Katsuta and Jourdan Serderidis complete the top ten.
