Toksport announced today that Sami Pajari will not take part at Rallye Monte Carlo this weekend and he hopes to be back in action for Rally Sweden.
The Finn driver secured a WRC2 campaign with Toksport this year and will drive the brand-new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2. It was expected that his programme would start from Rallye Monte Carlo this weekend, but he was feeling sick, thefore he and his team decided to withdraw his entry before the start of the first round of 2023 World Rally Championship.
"Of course, this is a huge disappointment", Pajari said.
"The car felt good and working with the team has been great.
"You know, when life gives you lemons… this is a part of sports.
"I would like to thank everyone who has helped me.
"I’ll just be more hungry when the next opportunity comes.
"So, see you in Sweden, hopefully".
