Pierre-Louis Loubet is thinking of taking part in a snow event before next year's Rally Sweden in the view of understanding some things on his car.
It was the second time for the Corsican driver that he participated in Rally Sweden and M-Sport Ford scheduled tests for its drivers ahead of this event. However, his teammate Ott Tanak had the chance to compete in Estonia with his Puma as an extra preparation for the second round of this year's championship. Esapekka Lappi and Takamoto Katsuta chose this method as well to get prepared with their cars for Rally Sweden.
Loubet finished in sixth place overall in Sweden and was close to set the fastest time as he was the second quickest driver in Stage 5. However, he had another difficault weekend as he had no hybrid power in Stage 7 and faced a powertrain issue with his Puma in Powerstage resulting in completing the final stage of the rally on EV mode.
"It’s just driving", Loubet answered when he was asked how difficult it was to find total confidence in such conditions.
"On a rally like that, honestly you need… for next year, for sure I will ask to do a pre-rally event.
"That will help a lot to try many, many things because I don’t have for the moment the confidence to change a lot of things on the car.
"Because I’m sure what I have, it for sure is quite different from Ott.
"So I think a small rally will help to try some stuff".
