Jourdan Serderidis said to DirtFish that there is a possibility for Gregoire Munster to drive his Ford Puma Rally1 in some rallies this year, but the last one's debut in WRC depends on his WRC2 results.
The driver from Luxembourg had signed a WRC2 contract with Hyundai Motorsport in 2022 and was the winner of Rally Japan last year in his class (WRC2 Open and WRC2 Junior). For 2023, M-Sport Ford offered him a drive with the Ford Fiesta MKII Rally2 having Adrien Fourmaux as his teammate. His first outing of the season was Rallye Monte Carlo where he finished eight overall in WRC2 category whereas he took part in Rally Sweden with a Ford Fiesta Rally3.
"I’m supporting him quite intensively, and he will be most probably driving the Puma at the end of the championship", Serderidis said.
"We don’t know yet when because it will be a decision with M-Sport depending also on the WRC2 results, but the idea is that at the end of the season he will get the seat of my car during I think two WRC events.
"For sure it’s a really, really very positive thing for his career and if he’s taking the chance, that will be very nice".
Finally, Munster said: "I know there is like a plan, now it all depends on results and everything.
"I think if I crash the car in Croatia and the rally after there won’t be anything happening.
"But for the moment I just focus on WRC2 and then we’ll see at the end of the year if there is something possible.
"I don’t know if it will be national championship or something else, we’ll see.
"For sure it’s a nice idea to have but the real work has to be done before".
