Sebastien Ogier may participate with the third car of Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT at Rally Italia Sardegna which will be held on 1-4 June.
The eight-time World Rally Champion has secured with the Japanese team a partial programme for this season and has taken part in three evens so far in 2023 in which he has won two times (Rallye Monte Carlo, Rally Mexico) while he finished fifth overall at Croatia Rally last weekend. He will skip Rally de Portugal next month, as his name is not at the entry list, and tops the championship standings with 69 points despite the fact that Elfyn Evans is equal to him in terms of points.
"I don’t know what the plan is for the team to announce my next round, but there is a strong chance to see me there", Ogier said when he was asked if Sardinia could be his next WRC round.
