Yohan Rossel unveils the rallies he will compete in for the rest of this season after his two successful appearances earlier in 2023.
The French driver was the WRC2 Champion in 2021, but he lost the battle to defend his title in 2022 as Emil Linholm became the new WRC2 Champion that year. So far this season, Rossel has participated in Monte Carlo and in Croatia with the upgraded Citroen C3 Rally2 and won both events while his next outing will be Rally de Portugal in two weeks. He is currently leading the drivers' championship with 53 points over Emil Lindholm who is 9 points behind him. Last but not least, their between gap would be smaller if the Citroen driver had not appealed against Nikolay Gryazin in Monte Carlo for cutting a corner. As a result of that, Gryazin received a 5-second time penalty meaning eventually Rossel was the winner of the first WRC round as their gap was at 4,5 seconds before the stewards decided to give to the Toksport driver a time penalty.
"Portugal, Sardinia, and after I go to Estonia", Rossel answered when he was asked about his next appearance.
"But not in the championship, just for learning.
"And after that, Greece, I think the next Tarmac is Central European Rally".
