At the end of the Shakedown session, Elfyn Evans is the fastest driver on this early test in Portugal with Esapekka Lappi and Ott Tanak following him.
Elfyn Evans tops the Shakedown session after three passes throughout it setting his best time on his second run from SD.
Esapekka Lappi comes right behind the Toyota driver for only one tenth of a second while it must be mentioned that a smoke came from his i20N engine after the first pass.
Ott Tanak completes the top three and left Dani Sordo behind for 0,1 seconds as the Spaniard aims to win Rally de Portugal this weekend for the first time in his WRC career.
Takamoto Katsuta is in fifth place overall and his wish is to finish on the podium on this gravel rally as he had already focused on it before the start of Croatia Rally.
Pierre-Louis Loubet follows the Japanese driver for three tenths of a second and is being optimistic that he will be able to get a podium in Porugal as it is one of his favorite rallies. Last but not least, he and Lappi were the only WRC drivers who run four times from Shakedown.
Kalle Rovanpera and Thierry Neuville are seventh and eighth overall respectively and both of them are aiming to claim their first victory of the season in Portugal.
