The organizers of Safari Rally Kenya announced the entries of their event which reach 33.
For WRC entries, Sebastien Ogier will drive the third Toyota Yaris Rally1 for a second rally in a row as he will return into action in Sardinia this week. His teammates will be Elfyn Evans and Kalle Rovanpera as Takamoto Katsuta aims to finish again on the podium positions in Kenya as part of his Toyota Challenge Programme. Hyundai Motorsport will take part with Thierry Neuville, Esapekka Lappi and Dani Sordo at Safari Rally as the team has not decided yet who will share the third i20N with the Spaniard. Finally, M-Sport Ford will bring three cars on the seventh WRC round, as Kenya is the third event on Jourdan Serderidis's programme, and the Greek driver will team up with Ott Tanak and Pierre-Louis Loubet.
The WRC2 participants will be nine. Oliver Solberg will be the only Toksport driver who will take part in Kenya and will fight against Kajetan Kajetanowicz. The last one will get behind the wheel of the previous generation of Skoda Fabia RS, the Fabia evo. M-Sport Ford chose Gregoire Munster and Georgios Vasilakis to be its competitors for this rally while Martin Prokop will compete with the Fiesta MKII as a privateer.
