Ott Tanak believes that Toyota drivers will dominate at Rally Estonia this weekend saying that it will be a difficult battle between M-Sport Ford and its rival team.
The 2019 WRC Champion will start third on the road on Friday, but he had already stated from Safari Rally that M-Sport Ford needs to find extra speed for his home event and Rally Finland, therefore it is hinted that Puma still lacks performance and is behind in comparison with Yaris and i20N in terms of development. However, his team scheduled tests ahead of the eighth WRC round while Tanak had the chance to compete in Louna-Eesti Ralli, which is a round of Estonian championship, as his preparations for his home rally. After the end of Safari Rally, Tanak is in fourth place on drivers' standings despite the fact that he has equal points with Sebastien Ogier and is 42 points behind the championship leader Kalle Rovanpera.
"It will be difficult fighting with Toyotas to be honest", Tanak said.
"So yeah, let’s see when we get there, but I’m sure Toyota will be definitely really dominating.
"In the end Hyundai was quite strong as well.
"So we have some big giants we need to fight for, so it’s not going to be easy".
