Latvala to miss Acropolis Rally due to driving duties

Jari-Matti Latvala is forced to skip Acropolis Rally Greece next month as he has scheduled to compete in two more rallies after his recent partipation at Rally Finland.

The Finn returned back to WRC action after three years and had the chance to get behind the wheel of the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 for the first time finishing at the top five on his home event. As he was a driver at Rally Finland, Akio Toyoda was the person in charge and took over JML's team principal duties there with the first one admitting that he had four jobs to do during this event.

Jari-Matti Latvala will take part in Lahti Historic Rally with his Toyota Celica GT-4 ST185 this weekend and will have Enni Malkonen as his co-driver who is Sami Pajari's navigator in WRC2 class. In addition to this entry, he will drive the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 concept car at Rally Hokkaido which will be held the same weekend as Acropolis Rally which means that he will be absent from his duties for a second event in a row, but it is yet to be confirmed who will replace him. Juho Hanninen will be alongside Latvala on this Japanese event, but it is suggested that their participation are for promotional reasons.
