According to DirtFish sources, it is very likely for Compact Dynamics to extend its deal with FIA until the end of 2026.
The German company, Compact Dynamics, supplies the WRC teams with hybrid units since 2022, but its contract with FIA will be expired at the end of 2024. As FIA is currently considering the existing regulations, the World Rally Championship will continue involving hybrid cars from 2025 onwards, but it is still under discussion how the current Rally1 cars will be evolved in the future. However, according to DirtFish sources, the FIA president, Mohammed Ben Sulayem was in Greece to attend Acropolis Rally and pushed the things further as a meeting was scheduled between WRC stakeholders and Compact Dynamics in which both parties decided to renew their deal until the end of 2026.
