Pierre-Louis Loubet announced via his social media that he will not continue with Nicolas Gilsoul alongside him which means that their partnership will end with immediate effect.
The Corsican driver secured his first ever full-season campaign in World Rally Championship with M-Sport Ford and had confirmed that Nicolas Gilsoul would replace Vincent Landais in 2023 as the last one decided to collaborate with Sebastien Ogier this year. On the other hand, Gilsoul has been Thierry Neuville's navigator for many years, but the first one decided to end their cooperation in 2021, just two weeks before the start of Rallye Monte Carlo, therefore TN was in a hurry to find a new one co-driver and eventually announced Martijn Wydaeghe. Loubet and Gilsoul have a difficult season this year, as the youngster has made many mistakes resulting in retiring or restarting under the regulations of Super Rally, while their best result are the sixth place in Sweden and Estonia. So far, it is unknown who will replace Gilsoul for the rest of 2023, but Loubet has to make a quick decision considering the fact that Central European Rally is about to start in less than eleven days.
"Our paths separate faster than expected despite our joint determination to make our collaboration a success", Loubet said.
"The experience you brought me for this first full season in the WRC will be treasured for years to come.
"Wish you the best for the future Nicolas Gilsoul".
