What upgrades will M-Sport Ford bring to Fiesta Rally2 at CER?

The team principal of M-Sport Ford, Richard Millener, says that his team will bring many upgrades to the Fiesta MKII Rally2 at Central European Rally after a 18-month development.

The Malcolm Wilson's team is trying to improve further its Rally2 car and had firstly introduced a new differential from Croatia Rally while Adrien Fourmaux revealed six months ago that the engine upgrades would come later this season. As this year's championship comes to an end and the homologation window opened this October, M-Sport Ford will present a more competitive Rally2 car with two rounds remaining until the season finale and the upgrades are related to the rear suspension, new dampers, a variety of set-ups and a cooling system. Fourmaux will be the only representative driver from M-Sport Ford at Central European Rally, as Gregoire Munster will do his second outing of the season at the top level, which means that only the Frenchman will have the chance to get a taste from these new upgrades on this tarmac event.

"We’ve been introducing a lot of things gradually like new rear suspension, new dampers, working a lot on setups", Millener said.

"The guys have been working hard for the last 18 months.

"The final piece of the puzzle is an updated cooling package which goes to the FIA for homologation.

"Providing everything’s passed, we aim to debut those parts on Central Europe Rally with Adrien.

"Hopefully that’ll come together along with everything else we’ve done over the last like 18 months and give us the final piece of the puzzle.

"The car’s obviously been performing well in the past few rallies, we hope this just gives it that little extra edge as well".
