Thierry Neuville cannot believe his win in Monte Carlo saying that the team and the whole package worked very well during last weekend.
The Belgian driver won Rallye Monte Carl for a second time in his career and gave an incredible fight with Sebastien Ogier since Friday. However, the last one could not match the pace of TN who claimed eight stage wins. Although Neuville reported a problem with his car in Stage 2 and had a spin in Stage 4, he managed to finish Saturday and Sunday on the top and to score 25 points plus the five points from Powerstage. He is the championship leader with 30 points with Sebastien Ogier and Elfyn Evans following him on the standings.
"I don't have the words to be honest", Neuville said.
"It was just so great this weekend, I felt so comfortable in the car.
"The team has done an amazing job and I think the whole package was working very well.
"It was the first time that we had the team in place like this, and I think this has been a good sign for the future.
"There’s always some work left so we need to continue working hard, but I’m very happy to win this rally.
"We were the boss this weekend.
"The car was amazing so I’d like to say a big thank you to the team".
