Official: Greensmith remains at Skoda squad for 2024

Gus Greensmith reveals that he will stay at Skoda Motorsport for one more season and will have Oliver Solberg as his teammate again.

The Britishman left M-Sport Ford after eight years, as he lost his Rally1 seat from Ott Tanak and Pierre-Louis Loubet in 2023, thus his option was to take a step back and to compete in WRC2 class. He signed a contract with Toksport for last year and finished at the top of the podium two times (Rally de Portugal, Rally Mexico) while he was one of the WRC2 title contenders. As the WRC teams have already confirmed its drivers and Citroen Racing finalized its WRC2 roster for the upcoming season, Greensmith becomes the second confirmed driver, who will get behind the wheel of a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, as previously Oliver Solberg announced that he will continue driving for the Czech car brand. Finally, it must be mentioned that it is rumored that Skoda Motorsport may involve in WRC2 class again as a factory team which means that Toksport will stop running Fabias on the championship.

"It’s fantastic to be with Å koda for 2024", Greensmith said.

"We had great success together in 2023 and both share the collective ambition to fight for the World Rally Championship this year.

"But, instead of finishing second, our goal is to be one place higher and win the world championship.

"That’s the aim and with operations looked after by Toksport, I am really looking forward to continuing my work with Å koda Motorsport".
