M-Sport Ford announced that William Creighton will have a seven-rally programme with the Fiesta Rally2 this season after the success he had in 2023.
The Irishman made his first appearance in JWRC back in 2020 with a Ford Fiesta Rally3 and competed in this class from that year to 2023. His first outing of the past season was with the Hyundai i20N Rally2 in WRC2 class, but afterwards he took part in five rallies for the WRC3 and the JWRC championships and he became the 2023 JWRC Champion. As Gregoire Munster and Adrien Fourmaux will be the leading drivers of M-Sport Ford at the top level, the British squad was looking for its options for the WRC2 class and eventually chose Creighton to fill the gap as there were two available Rally2 seats. His WRC2 campaign includes his participation in seven rallies and will start his season from Rally Sweden.
"Winning the Junior WRC title last year gave us a really good WRC2 programme to look forward to courtesy of the fantastic prize put on offer by M-Sport Poland and Pirelli", Creighton said.
"But thanks to the support of the Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy, we have managed to increase our campaign to seven rounds in 2024 and it’s quite simply an unbelievable opportunity, which Liam and I are determined to make the most of".
