The organizers of Safari Rally Kenya announced the route of their event for 2024 which will be held on March 27-31.
More specifically, the recce will last two days (Monday 25 March to Tuesday 26 March) while the crews will make their final adjustments to their cars the following day as the Shakedown session will be held in Loldia on Wednesday 27 March. The fans will have the chance to get signed autograph cards from their favorite crews in Nairobi and in Naivash at 11:15 am and 13:30 pm respectively on Thursday 28 March. Afterwards, Kasarani will host the first stage of the rally for one more year which is a superspecial stage.
The real rally action will start on Friday with six stages and 125,82 kilometers in distance. The Friday loops remains the same as in 2023 with "Loldia", "Geothermal" and "Kedong" stages. "Kedong" is the longest stage of the day with 30,62 competitive kilometers.
The penultimate day of Safari Rally includes two loops of three stages with 150,88 kilometers. The organizers do not have any change to Saturday itinerary compared to last year which means that the crews will pass firstly throughout "Soysambu" before heading to "Elmenteita". "Sleeping Warrior" will be a test for the drivers and the co-drivers as it is the longest stage of the rally with 31,04 Km and is the final stage of both loops.
Sunday contains six stages and 74,38 kilometers. Both loops start with "Malewa" stage, which is the shortest stage of the event with 8,33 Km. The action continues with "Oserian" which is the longest stage of the day. The first pass from "Hell's Gate" will be crucial for all the crews as they can make some changes to their pacenotes before this stage will be running as the Powerstage which will define who will score the five maximum points for the three championships. After the end of the Powerstage, the top three crews will receive their trophies at the podium ceremony which will be held at Hell's Gate.
