CHL Sport Auto team confirmed that Teemu Suninen and Emil Lindholm will have a five-event programme in WRC2 class this year.
The Finn duo signed a WRC2 contract with Hyundai Motorsport in 2023 and were members of "Hyundai Motorsport Driver development Programme" (HMDP) which was created last June. In fact, Lindholm started his 2023 season with Toksport and Skoda Motorsport before his decision to have joined Hyundai Motorsport eight months ago. As the Alzenau-based team is fully focused on its WRC activities and tries to win all the championships this season, the future of Lindholm and Suninen was unknown until today. Lindholm will start his season with Rally Sweden this week whereas it is yet to be confirmed which will be the first event of Suninen with the i20N Rally2.
"Excited to share that I'll be driving the Hyundai i20 N Rally2 car in 2024!", Suninen said.
"We are joining forces with the legendary CHL Sport Auto team, who are the reigning Seven-time French Rally Team Champions.
"Let's rev up the engines and chase victory together!"
Finally, Lindholm said: "It's #RallySweden week and we have updated looks for 2024.
"What do you think of our Hyundai i20N Rally2".
