The organizers of Croatia Rally announced the route of their event for 2024 which will be held on April 18-21.
More specifically, the recce will last two days from Tuesday 16 to Wednesday 17 April. The Shakedown session will be held in Okic on Thursday 18 April while the fans will watch the ceremonial start and the pre-event press conference in Zagreb at 18:00 local time.
The real rally action starts on Friday with two loops of four stages and 119,73 Km. The opening stage of both loops will be "Krašić - Sošice" which is a brand-new and the longest stage of the rally. "Jaškovo - Mali Modruš Potok" is the following stage and returns back to the itinerary since 2022. The crews will complete their runs with "Ravna Gora - Skrad" and "Platak" which are moved from Saturday to Friday.
The second day of Croatia Rally contains the same number of stages as Friday, but the distance is 108,76 Km. "Smerovišće - Grdanjci" is a brand-new stage with 15,72 Km with which the crews will start the morning and the evening loop. Afterwards, they will pass from "Stojdraga - Gornja Vas" which returns to the itinerary after a one-year absence and will be the longest stage of the day with almost twenty kilometers. The third stage of both loops is "Vinski Vrh - Duga Resa" which is the shortest stage of the rally with 8,78 Km. "Pećurkovo Brdo - Mrežnički Novaki" will be held on Saturday instead of Friday and is the concluding stage of the morning and the evening.
Sunday includes two repeated stages and less than 55 Km. "Trakošćan - Vrbno" will run at the same order as in 2023 which means that it will be first and the third stage of the day. The first pass from"Zagorska Sela - Kumrovec" will be crucial for the drivers and the co-drivers as they can make their final adjustments to their pacenotes before their running for a second time as once again the second pass from that stage will host the Powerstage. The crews will return back to Zagreb at 15:45 local time for receiving their trophies and the podium ceremony.
Totally, Croatia Rally includes 20 stages and 283,28 competitive kilometers.
