The boss of M-Sport Ford, Malcolm Wilson, speaks highly of Adrien Fourmaux and his performance at Rally Sweden.
The Frenchman secured a full-season programme with M-Sport Ford at the top level again and is the leading driver of the team in 2024. He managed to keep Elfyn Evans behind and to be on the second place on Saturday classification, but he dropped to third on Sunday. However, the most remarkable thing is that he claimed his maiden podium in World Rally Championship and finished at the lowest place of the podium on his second outing of the season with the Puma. After the end of Rally Sweden, Fourmaux is now third on the championship with 29 points and is 19 points behind the leader Thierry Neuville.
"This has been such a special event for the whole team", Wilson said.
"The message to Adrien on Sunday was clear: Bring home the podium result!
"He continued to show great maturity, driving sensibly through the stages to secure a very well deserved third place.
"I have been so impressed by his mentality and confidence this weekend and I am looking forward to seeing what else he can achieve with us this year now this career milestone has been reached".
