The organizers of Rally Finland announced the route of their event for 2024 which will be held on August 1-4.
More specifically, the organizers have not confirmed yet when the crews will do the recce, but it is expected to be held on July 29-31. On Wednesday 31 July, Jyvaskyla Harbour will host the ceremonial start at 19:00 local time. A day later, the crews will make their final adjustments to their cars at the Shakedown stage at 10:01 local time which will be located in Ruuhimäki. For one more year, Rally Finland will start with the superspecial stage "Harju" at 19:05 local time before the real rally action begins on Friday.
The opening day of the rally contains nine stages and 119,03 competitive kilometers. The first of the four repeated stage is "Laukka" which will be the longest of the day with 18 Km. "Saarikas" is a brand-new stage, which was running for Peurunka Ralli for three years, and is the following stage after "Laukka" with 15,50 Km. "Myhinpää" holds its traditional order as it is the fourth and the eight stage of Rally Finland for a second consecutive year. "Ruuhimäki" returns to the WRC calendar since 2022 and will be the fourth stage of the morning and the afternoon. The day concludes with the "Harju" stage at 20:05.
Saturday includes three repeated stages and 144,26 Km. "Västilä" and "Päijälä" are the first two opening stages of the morning and the evening loop and remain at the itinerary for one more year. However, the most remarkable add to this year's route is the return of the popular "Ouninpohja", as 2017 was the last time that the WRC crews passed throughout it, while it is the longest stage of the rally with 33 Km and is the concluding stage of both loops.
The final day of the rally contains two repeated stages and 41,52 Km. "Sahloinen-Moksi" is the first and the third stage of Sunday with 14,40 Km. "Laajavuori" makes its comeback to WRC since 2014 and the first pass from it is shorter by four kilometers than its second pass which will host the Powerstage.
In total, Rally Finland of 2024 includes 20 stages and 304,81 competitive Kilometers.
