At the end of Friday morning, Thierry Neuville takes an early lead in Croatia with Elfyn Evans and Sebastien Ogier following him.
Thierry Neuville is the leader of Croatia Rally after his setting the fastest time in SS1, SS3 and SS4 despite the fact the he reported understeer on the opening stage of the day.
Elfyn Evans is in second place overall and was the fastest driver in Stage 2 while he was beaten by Neuville for 0,2 seconds in Stage 4.
Sebastien Ogier completes the 2-3 for Toyota and lost the chance to get his first stage win in Croatia as he was slower for 0,3 seconds than Neuville in Stage 4. Moreover, the Frenchman ran wide in a corner of Stage 2 resulting in losing some seconds there.
Ott Tanak is fourth overall and was very close to Ogier after the last one's mistake in Stage 2 as their gap was only at nine tenths of a second.
Adrien Fourmaux completes the top five, but his margin from the fourth Tanak was increased from 1,3 to 4,3 seconds at the end of Stage 4.
Takamoto Katsuta is behind the M-Sport driver for 30,6 seconds and was not able to match the pace of his rivals.
Andreas Mikkelsen is in seventh position and was struggling with the behavior of his i20N while he went straight in a junction and had to reverse to complete Stage 1.
Gregoire Munster is at the bottom of the overall classification and made some changes to the set-up of his car as he mentioned at the end of Stage 2.
