The organizers of Rally de Portugal announced the entries of their event which reach the 69.
More specifically, M-Sport Ford will bring only two cars for one more rally with Adrien Fourmaux and Gregoire Munster sitting behind the wheel of the Puma. Kalle Rovanpera returns back to action after his victory at Safari Rally and will join forces with Sebastien Ogier, Takamoto Katsuta and Elfyn Evans in order to help Toyota on the manufacturers' championship. On the other hand, Dani Sordo will make his first outing of the season with the Hyundai i20N Rally1 on one of his favorite events at the WRC calendar and will have Ott Tanak and Thierry Neuville as his teammates.
The WRC2 participants are 40 with the most important being Yohan Rossel, Nikolay Gryazin and Marco Bulacia with a Citroen C3 Rally2. Pierre-Louis Loubet will make his first outing of the season with the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 while Oliver Solberg, Gys Greensmith, Pepe Lopez, Lauri Joona, Fabrizio Zaldivar, Joshua McErlean and Martin Prokop will drive the same car as Loubet. Moreover, Kris Meeke and Teemu Suninen will get behind the wheel of a Hyundai i20N Rally1 whereas William Creighton will be the only WRC2 driver who will compete with a Ford Fiesta MKII Rally2. Finally, the majority of the Rally2 cars is the Toyota GR Yaris as Sami Pajari, Georg Linnamae, Jan Solans, Yuki Yamamoto, Jean-Michel Raoux and Hikaru Kogure will participate with it in Portugal.
