Ogier and Landais have been taken to hospital after a recce accident



Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT confirmed that Sebastien Ogier and Vincent Landais have been involved in an accident during the recce for Rally Poland.

The reconnaissance of Rally Poland starts today for all crews and will end tomorrow while it must be mentioned that recce is a crucial process for all the crews as they can do some final changes to their pacenotes ahead of a rally. Ogier and Landais were confirmed by Toyota to drive the third GR Yaris Rally1 in Poland this week as the first one has great memories of this event. However, the French crew had a road accident during their recce today and have been taken to the hospital for medical checks. The car of the Toyota pair was collided head-on with a passenger car which was driven by a woman and had a passenger alongside her. According to Polish media, the incident happened on a hill on a section of a gravel road and four people go injured while two air ambulance helicopters arrived at the scene to take Ogier and the woman. The remaining two people were taken to the hospital by an ambulance. The Japanese team will provide more information about their health later today.
