Ogier's first message after his recce accident

Sebastien Ogier shares his first thoughts after the crash he had in Poland yesterday, saying that the doctors let him return back to his home, and is being grateful that everyone involved in the crash is okay.

Ogier and Vincent Landais were involved in a road accident in Poland yesterday during their recce for SS10 and SS14. A passenger car driven by a woman collided head-on with the Yaris of the French crew. All of them were transferred to the hospital for medical checks and Landais was discharged yesterday evening. On the other hand, Ogier had to remain to the hospital for overnight observation and was released earlier today. The Toyota crew is forced to miss Rally Poland after their accident and their team confirmed Kalle Rovanpera and Jonne Halttunen to take their place in order to score valuable manufacturer points. Last but not least, it is unknown if Ogier will be able to take part in Latvia next month as his entry has already been confirmed by Toyota two days ago.

"As you may know, Vincent Landais and I had a road traffic collision yesterday during recce at Rally Poland", Ogier said.

"I had to spend the night in hospital, but I'm already feeling much better.

"I'm glad that medical checks showed no serious injuries as well for Vincent and the occupants of the other car.

"We're not able to take part in this rally, which is a shame, but the most important is that everyone involved is safe.

"Thank you everyone for all the messages I have received.

"I'm now on my way back home to take some rest and make sure to be back in full strength soon.

"Good luck to Kalle, Jonne and the whole TOYOTA GAZOO Racing WRC team, I'll be cheering for you!".
