Ogier misses out Rally Poland, Landais has been discharged

Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT confirmed that Sebastien Ogier will not take part at Rally Poland this week following his recce accident while his co-driver, Vincent Landais, has been discharged.

The French crew was involved in a road accident during the recce and were doing the reconnaissance for SS10/SS14 when they collided head-on with a passenger car. The GPS of Toyota GR Yaris showed that Ogier and Landais were driving at low speed as the other car who was inside the stage on the opposite direction. The woman, who was driving the Ford Mondeo, was taken to the hospital by an air ambulance helicopter while the other three people, including Ogier and Landais, were transferred with an ambulance. Ogier and Landais were checked by the doctors, but the eight-time WRC Champion has to remain under medical observation overnight and will not be able to compete at Rally Poland. On the other hand, Landais has been discharged and Toyota is currently examining its options for the event and will announce soon which crew will replace Ogier and Landais.
