Rovanpera to replace Ogier in Poland

Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT confirmed that Kalle Rovanpera and Jonne Halttunen will replace Sebastien Ogier and Vincent Landais at Rally Poland following their recce accident earlier today.

The stewards of Rally Poland and FIA approved Toyota's request to compete with Kalle Rovanpera and Jonne Halttunen at Rally Poland this week which means that eventually the Japanese team will have three Yaris Rally1 cars on this event. Ogier and Landais had an accident during their recce for SS10 and SS14 and collided with another passenger car which was coming on the opposite direction. Landais was discharged from the hospital, but Ogier had to remain for medical observation and it was impossible for him to start Rally Poland. Moreover, the stewards gave the permission to Rovanpera and to Halttunen to start their recce tomorrow. However, the recce for the Finn crew will be extended by one day compared to the other crews where their final day of recce was today.
