The organizers of Central European Rally announced the route of their event which will be held on October 17-20.
More specifically, the recce will last two days where the first day of the recognition will start on Tuesday 15 October from the Austrian and the German stages while the crews will head to Czech Republic on Wednesday 16 October to complete the recce for this rally. The organizers have changed the location of the Shakedown stage which will be held in Tocna on Thursday 17 October. Afterwards, the ceremonial start will take place at Prague Castle at 14:00 local time where the fans will have the chance to live magical moments. Two night stages will follow after the end of the ceremonial start with the opening one being the superspecial stage "Velká Chuchle". The crews will finish their day with "Klatovy".
Friday contains three repeated stages and the competitive kilometers are expected to be same as in 2023. "Klatovy" is the opening stage of the morning and the afternoon loop which means that the crews will run three times considering the fact that the first pass will be held on Thursday. "Strasin" will be the following stage after "Klatovy" and will run for the first time as a stage at CER. "Šumavské Hoštice" remains at the itinerary of Central European Rally and will be the concluding stage of Friday for one more year.
The penultimate day includes two loops of three stages and almost 130 Km in distance as the rally will move to Austria and Germany for the final two days of CER. The organizers have added two new stages, "Granit und Wald" and "Beyond Borders" which be running first and second respectively during the two loops. "Schärdinger Innviertel" will complete the morning and the afternoon loops, but it used to be running as the opening stage in 2023.
Sunday includes four stages, but the distance of that day is still unknown. "Knaus Tabbert am Hochwald" is another new stage for the rally and will be running as first and third on the order. The first pass from "Passauer Land" will be crucial for the drivers and the co-drivers as they will have the chance to make some changes to their pacenotes. It is a very important stage for the championship contenders as once again it will host the Powerstage. After the end of PS, the three winning crews will head back to Passau for the prize giving and the podium ceremony.
Totally, this year's Central European Rally includes 18 stages and almost 310 competitive kilometers.
