Ott Tanak retook his second place from Elfyn Evans on the championship as their gap is now at five points while Thierry Neuville's lead was decreased from 15 to eight points after the end of Rally Latvia. Despite the 1-2 of Toyota, Hyundai Motorsport remains out in front for only one point ahead of their rival team.
